What is it then? Actually this mini-powerhouse is a lot like the Rico Theta, it is almost like a small voicerecorder.
We make this comparison, because the device measures only 40x97x25mm.
Without a doubt a real mini-camera.
The LG360 Cam
These measurements are a big selling point in our eyes, as is the shape of the device.
Also, the weight of the LG360 Cam makes it a unique device, it weighs only 97 grams, making it the lightest 360 camera at the moment.
360 Cameras, like the Samsung and Nikon, are just a bit more clunky and heavy.
The Samsung Gear 360 even has a round, ball shaped design, this will not make the device easier to use for everyone.
The LG easily slides into your pockets, making it easy to carry, you won’t even feel it.
Don’t let size fool you though, this little device carries a lot of potential.
The camera is fitted with two 13MP lenses which both have a FOV of 200 degrees. It can shoot photos and video at a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels (2K).
Controls on the camera itself have been kept to a minimum. For optimal use of the device, you can download the app that accompanies it, it can be connected through bluetooth or wifi.
You can adjust all of the important properties when making video or photo, shutter speed, ISO and white balance can be set to your wishes.
Three microphones, mounted around the lenses, record all incoming sound in 5.1 surround.
There is no Microphone port, this makes connection of an external microphone impossible.
Although this camera is not yet being sold, LG does send regular updates about it, a release date is not yet known.
An official price has not been set yet, different sources say that it will be around €200.
